3Squared Launches Luxury Yacht App

This week has seen Sheffield further cement its position as a force to be reckoned with in the creative and new media industries.

Local software development company 3Squared, has moved into the luxury lifestyle market and launched a revolutionary new ‘super-yacht’ application for use on iPads and iPhones.

Developed on behalf of YCO, a leading Monte Carlo-based yacht company, the app is a searchable, interactive catalogue of super-yachts.

Designed to help yacht buyers, brokers, and charterers search quickly and easily for available yachts, the app enables instant comparison of specifications, décor and accessories with other yachts on the market.

James Fox, Director of 3Squared said: “When YCO approached us, we were excited by the prospect of developing an app in a market that was new to us. We have lots of experience in developing apps for a diverse set of clients, but this is the first one aimed at the ‘super-rich’. We’re very pleased with the outcome. ”

The application was demonstrated at the exclusive Monaco Yacht Show which took place from 22 –25 September, on the YCO stand.

The iPad application is now available to download from the Apple app store, while the iPhone application is due to be released shortly.
